What Excalidraw is

Excalidraw is a web whiteboard for sketching diagrams with a hand-drawn feel. Its editor provides an infinite canvas and diagramming tools, and users can collaborate in real time by sharing a link. The Free plan costs nothing and includes one infinite scene, unlimited collaborators, and PNG, SVG, or file export. Free users can also connect integrations such as Notion and Obsidian. The editor allows 10 AI requests a day; an admin can add an OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok, or OpenRouter key for AI features. Excalidraw+ adds cloud storage, unlimited scenes and folders, access management, presentations, voice hangouts, screensharing, and up to 1,000 daily AI requests on an Excalidraw key. It also supports arranging drawings into slides for live or remote presentations. PDF and PPTX exports are Plus features. Education is $4.00 per month for students and teachers with an educational email; Plus is $6.00 per month, billed monthly, with a 14-day trial. Free data is stored locally, and shared data is protected by end-to-end encryption. Excalidraw+ customer data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
