Xiaomi has made an exciting announcement in India, introducing two new Redmi smartphones to the entry-level phone category: the Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G. These devices share many features, with the main difference lying in their processors. The Redmi 12 4G runs on the MediaTek Helio G88, while the Redmi 12 5G is powered by a Qualcomm processor.
Pricing and Availability:
The Redmi 12 4G starts at ₹8,999 for the base model, which includes 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Alternatively, the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at ₹10,499. The phone will be available via Flipkart starting from August 4.
As for the Redmi 12 5G, it begins at ₹10,999 and comes in three variants: 4 GB + 128 GB, 6 GB + 128 GB, and 8 GB + 256 GB. T
Of these, the 6 GB and 8 GB RAM models are priced at ₹12,499 and ₹14,499, respectively. Customers can purchase the Redmi 12 5G from the Amazon India website.
Both the Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G will be offered in Jade Black, Pastel Blue, and Moonstone Silver color options. Consumers can also buy them directly from mi.com and Xiaomi retail stores across India.

As mentioned earlier, the handsets share almost identical specifications, differing mainly in their processors. The Redmi 12 5G features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, while the Redmi 12 4G utilizes the MediaTek Helio G88 12nm SoC.
Both smartphones sport a large 6.79-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD display, offering a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, both the Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G come equipped with a 50MP dual-camera setup on the rear and an 8 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
