While detailed camera specs are still under wraps, rumors suggest that the quad-camera setup will include a primary Sony IMX800 sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto snapper with 3.2x optical zoom, and a periscope telephoto lens offering an impressive 5x zoom. Notably, Xiaomi’s competitors, Vivo and Huawei, are currently the only other players offering foldable devices with four rear cameras, each featuring wide, ultra-wide, and two telephoto cameras — one with a periscope lens.
Under the hood, the MIX Fold 3 is expected to be powered by a state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to a whopping 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and potentially offering up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Running on Android 13 with the MIUI Fold 14.1 overlay, the phone promises a smooth and optimized foldable experience.
