This innovative device will mark Xiaomi’s first foray into the foldable phone arena, boasting a groundbreaking Leica-optimized quad camera setup that promises to redefine mobile imaging.
The highlight of the MIX Fold 3 is undoubtedly its cutting-edge quad-camera system, developed in collaboration with Leica. Xiaomi has focused on miniaturization, managing to fit four rear cameras within the slim and lightweight chassis of the phone without compromising on imaging performance.
While detailed camera specs are still under wraps, rumors suggest that the quad-camera setup will include a primary Sony IMX800 sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto snapper with 3.2x optical zoom, and a periscope telephoto lens offering an impressive 5x zoom. Under the hood, the MIX Fold 3 is expected to be powered by a state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to a whopping 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and potentially offering up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Running on Android 13 with the MIUI Fold 14.1 overlay, the phone promises a smooth and optimized foldable experience.

In terms of design, the MIX Fold 3 boasts an elegant white curved glass body, giving it a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The phone will feature an expansive 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED QHD+ 120Hz main display, along with a convenient 6.56-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz cover screen. An exciting addition to the device is the rumored integration of an under-display camera within the internal display, adding to its overall appeal. Xiaomi has also introduced the new waterdrop hinge to ensure a slim profile and enhance durability.
Powering the device will be a reliable 4,800mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, as per the 3C certification. Additionally, the recent MIIT certification has confirmed the device’s 5G connectivity support, ensuring users stay connected at all times.
