In order to expand the Note 12 lineup, Redmi just announced their Note 12 4G smartphone in the Indian market. The phone is built upon the vanilla Redmi Note 12 5G model that was launched in the country back in January. This new 4G only model is being catered to the under INR 15,000 segment and brings the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC to the market.

The Redmi Note 12 4G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a punch-hole for the selfie camera. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC and comes paired with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.
On the camera side of things, the Note 12 4G gets a triple camera setup on the back with a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the phone relies on a 13MP camera which is placed inside the punch-hole cutout. Other features on Note 12 4G include an IR blaster, a 3.5mm audio jack, Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top, and a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

The Redmi Note 12 comes in Lunar Black, Sunrise Gold, and Ice Blue color options. The phone starts at INR 14,999 for the 6/64GB model while the 6/128GB costs INR 16,999. It will go on sale starting April 6th on Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home and Mi Studio offline.
