The Redmi Note 12 series has already made its way into the global market and has received a positive response from consumers. The line-up boasts impressive specifications, including 5G connectivity at a competitive price point. However, the company is reportedly working on a new addition to the Note 12 series, one that is touted to offer only 4G connectivity. The rumored device is likely to be called Redmi Note 12 4G, and although there is no official confirmation, a recent report has shared its specifications and design renders.

According to a recent tweet from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Redmi Note 12 4G will have the same design language as its two siblings in the series. The leaked images reveal a flat back, likely with a frosty polycarbonate glass on top, and a rectangular camera module that houses 3 separate rings for the camera sensors.

On the front, the Redmi Note 12 4G will feature a flat display with a punch-hole cut-out on the top center. The bezels around the display are decent, and the overall look of the handset is quite premium, more so considering that it is expected to be priced under 180 USD or Rs. 15,000.

Ambhore also shared a live image of the handset, which reveals that the Note 12 4G will pack an unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC under the hood. According to the tipster, this SoC is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 680 SoC. The device is also expected to come with 4 GB of RAM and 3 GB of virtual RAM. Further, the upcoming phone is expected to run MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.

Previous rumors also suggest that the Redmi Note 12 4G will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display having a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP primary shooter, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. As for its launch date, there is no official information yet. We expect to have more information on the same in the coming days.
