What Shifton is

Shifton is a workforce management platform for employee scheduling, time tracking, attendance, and payroll. Its scheduling tools can automate shift planning with templates and constraints based on labor rules and availability, then update schedules in real time. Employees can clock in and out, submit time-off requests, and use location-based attendance features such as GPS monitoring, geo-fenced zones, and location history. Approved leave appears in schedules. A forecasting module uses uploaded or manually entered staffing demand to generate shift patterns. The free Basic functions plan supports up to 10 team members and includes scheduling, a time clock, attendance, iOS and Android apps, unlimited schedules and locations, and reports. Paid access starts at $1/mo; activating a module can provide up to 60 days of access, while work location control has a 10-day trial. Integrations include accounting, calendars, HR, messaging, and workflow tools, alongside REST API and webhook support. Shifton says its services and data are hosted in the EU, with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access, and OpenID-based SSO.
