What FlowRota is

FlowRota brings rota planning, employee availability, leave, clocking, and timesheets together for shift-based teams. Managers can create schedules from reusable templates, plan rolling rotas, publish shifts, and notify staff about changes. Employees can claim open shifts or request swaps, while managers keep approval control where needed. Staff can clock in and out using mobile GPS clocking or a shared on-site terminal; managers can review clock cards and timesheets. The service also handles leave requests and approvals, configurable leave limits, absence records, return-to-work forms, and time off in lieu. Managers can view worked hours, attendance, absences, and labour costs, and export timesheet data for payroll preparation. FlowRota can flag shift clashes and configured rest, break, or working-time concerns, but says these prompts do not replace employers’ legal responsibilities. It is available on web, Android, and iOS. The single subscription is billed at £1 + VAT per active user, per month, with a 30-day trial and no payment card required to start.
