Xiaomi, along with its sub-brands Redmi and Poco, produces some of the best budget and mid-range smartphones that provide excellent value for the money. However, the company has been criticized for its delayed software updates in the past. This might have prodded the company to get its act together with its MIUI 14 rollout program and has released stable software builds for several devices in global markets. The Poco F4 is the latest smartphone to receive the MIUI 14 update, which is now available for download in India with Jio 5G support.
According to Himanshu Tandon, Poco’s India head, the Android 13-based MIUI 14 update for the Poco F4 has been released in India. The update is being rolled out gradually with the firmware version V14.0.2.0.TLMINXM and includes support for Jio 5G. The release is being staggered to ensure stability and avoid issues. Currently, the MIUI 14 update is available only for users enrolled in the beta program.
Some beta testers have reported that the latest update is roughly 3.5GB in size, so it is recommended that users back up their data before installing it. To avoid any interruptions during the update, a stable Wi-Fi connection and more than 50 percent battery life are also advised. The new update will provide all the new features of Android 13, along with some exclusive Xiaomi features as well.
