Xiaomi had recently introduced the MIUI 14 user interface, which is built on the Android 14 operating system. The company has been rapidly rolling out the update to its smartphones, with several devices like the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Mi 11 Lite 5G, and Xiaomi 12T already receiving the MIUI 14 update. This quick pace of updates is aimed at keeping up with the competition. However, to the surprise of many fans, Xiaomi has recently announced that it is putting on hold the release of the beta updates for its latest MIUI 14 operating system for certain devices.

According to the latest official statement from Xiaomi, the weekly MIUI 14 beta updates for certain smartphones may be discontinued in the near future. After April 21, 2023, MIUI 14 beta updates will no longer be available for the Redmi K40 Pro/Pro+, Redmi K40, Xiaomi Mi 10S, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, Redmi K40 Gaming, and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. The final weekly MIUI 14 beta update for these smartphones will be released on April 21st. These devices will continue to receive stable MIUI 14 updates, and the discontinuation of MIUI 14 beta does not mean that future updates will not be provided.

Xiaomi has announced its focus on two versions of MIUI: weekly and stable. The company has chosen to prioritize improving the performance of MIUI 14 on devices that are capable of supporting it. This however has upset many Xiaomi fans who were eager to test the latest features and upgrades of MIUI 14 on their older phones. Xiaomi, on its part, has assured its users that it remains dedicated to providing frequent updates and support for all its devices and is working towards enhancing the performance of MIUI 14 on as many devices as possible.

To sum up, Xiaomi’s decision to halt the distribution of MIUI 14 beta updates to certain devices may be disappointing for some users, but it is a vital step towards improving the performance of the software on supported devices. The company’s commitment to delivering the best possible experience for its customers remains unwavering, and we can anticipate further updates and advancements in the future.
