Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Lite set for global debut at MWC 2023

Xiaomi has announced that it will showcase the Xiaomi 13 series, including the Xiaomi 13 Lite, for the global market at the upcoming MWC 2023 event on February 26th. This information was leaked by the well-known tipster, Snoopy Tech. According to the leak, Xiaomi plans to introduce the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Lite at the MWC 2023 event. The standard and Pro models have already been launched in China in December 2022. However, the Xiaomi 13 Lite is rumored to be just a repackaged version of the Xiaomi CIVI 2, which was released only in China.

On the same day of the global launch, Xiaomi will also reveal the Xiaomi 13 Pro in India. However, the standard Xiaomi 13 will not be available in the country, and it is also uncertain if the Xiaomi 13 Lite too will make it to Indian shores.

Coming to its specs, rumor has it that the Xiaomi 13 Lite will come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display having FHD+ resolution. The display with curved edges will also have a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone is also touted to come powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and accompanied by up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage on the top variant. The device is expected to house a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability. For cameras, the Xiaomi 13 Lite model is rumored to include a 50 MP triple rear camera setup along with 32 MP dual front-facing cameras.

The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, on the other hand, come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. They feature a front-facing camera of 32 MP and a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary lens. Also, it is going to be an AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate for both models. Of these, the Xiaomi 13 will have a 6.36-inch display having FHD+ resolution while the Pro edition boasts a larger 6.73-inch display having Quad HD+ resolution. The Xiaomi 13 is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while the Pro model has a larger 4,820mAh battery that supports 120W rapid charging and 50W wireless charging. Both phones run on Android 13 OS with MIUI 14 user interface.
