No points for guessing, it is going to be the top-of-the-line flagship in the Xiaomi 13 series, including the standard, Pro, and Lite models. However, while the launch date for the Ultra variant has yet to be officially announced, an online retailer store app in China has revealed a new event in the country, indicating that the launch is imminent.
According to the online retailer store app in China, Xiaomi is planning a new product launch event on April 18th at 7:00 pm local time. While the section does not specifically mention the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, it is expected to be the highlight of the event. This lines up with a previous report that claimed the smartphone would be launched on April 17th. Xiaomi has yet to confirm the official launch date, but we can expect an announcement soon.
Xiaomi has announced that it will partner with Leica for the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which will feature the iconic camera maker’s technology for improved photography capabilities. Furthermore, the company has confirmed that the device will be launched globally. Recent leaks suggest that the smartphone will be equipped with a USB 3.x connectivity port, making it the first Xiaomi smartphone to feature the upgraded standard instead of the outdated USB 2.0. The flagship is also rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, and it is expected to support 90W wired and 50W wireless charging capability.
