Xiaomi’s latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Pro, was first released in China in mid-December 2021, boasting the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a new design, and significant camera improvements. The phone is set to be released globally on February 26, along with the Xiaomi 13, and Xiaomi 13 Lite. However, the Indian market will only receive the Pro model. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be sold in India exclusively through Amazon. The online retail giant has announced that the smartphone will be available for purchase on its platform on February 26 though pricing details are yet to be revealed.
Further, since the Xiaomi 13 Pro is already available in China, all of its specs are known to us. That includes a 6.73-inch LTPO E6 AMOLED display on top. The display offers Quad HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Other characteristics of the display include a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 1900 nits of peak brightness. The display which supports Dolby Vision technology also has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top for enhanced durability.
Under the hood lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that is coupled to up to 12 gigs of LPDDR5X memory along with up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For optics, there is the triple 50 MP rear camera setup. That comprises of a 50 MP primary camera having Sony IMX989 1-inch sized sensor. The primary camera also gets OIS support for more stable shots. Then there also is the 50 MP ultra wide angle lens and a 50 MP telephoto lens as well. The front gets a 32 MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
Keeping things moving is a 4820 mAh battery which might seem a bit less considering the high-end display it comes with. Fortunately, there is 120W fast charging support available for quick battery top up times. It otherwise boasts of 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging in wireless mode. The phone runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Yet another highlight of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is its IP68 rating which makes it safe from water and dust ingress.
