ScreenAI brings screen capture, annotation, and AI questions about captured content into one desktop workflow. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and can capture regions, full screens, windows, freeform selections, or scrolling content, with timed delay and a precision magnifier. Annotation tools include arrows, shapes, text, step numbers, highlights, blur, crop, and eraser; users can also resize images, adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation, and add text or logo watermarks. ScreenAI extracts text from captures and can automatically mask emails, numbers, and IP addresses. AI provider options listed include Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini, Mistral, Grok, and Ollama, alongside model switching, Best Answer mode, web search, and persistent memory. Captures are saved and OCR-indexed, and can be chained, batch processed, pinned, or sent to AI together. Exports include PNG, JPEG, PDF, and animated GIF. The free plan costs nothing and allows 10 AI requests per day. Premium costs $7 a month and includes unlimited AI requests, provider choice, persistent memory, Best Answer, document upload, web search, projects, and organization.
