Focusd
Focusd is a free native Windows screen-time tracker for app and browser-tab usage.
What Focusd is
Focusd is a free native Windows screen-time tracker for app and browser-tab usage. It stores activity in a local SQLite database and does not sync data to the cloud. A background daemon checks the foreground window at a configurable interval, defaulting to five seconds. Browser titles are organized into 74 built-in categories, and custom browsers can be registered. Daily time ceilings can be set for individual executables, with Windows toast notifications when limits are crossed. Focusd also includes a configurable Pomodoro timer with a 25-minute default and break reminders. Tracking history can be exported as CSV or JSON from the TUI Settings tab. The site says there are no accounts, cloud sync or telemetry; the only network request is an optional update check. Focusd is MIT licensed with source on GitHub. The installer is about 9 MB and the CLI binary about 12 MB.
