Xiaomi Pad 5 gets a price cut ahead of Xiaomi Pad 6 launch in India

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi Pad 6 in India on June 13th, following its earlier release in China and the Pro version that came out earlier this year. Prior to the upcoming launch, Xiaomi has decided to reduce the price of the Xiaomi Pad 5 in India. This tablet was initially unveiled in April 2022 and comes with impressive features such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, a 13 MP rear camera, and Dolby Vision technology.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 was initially priced at Rs 26,999 for the model with 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage while the model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage used to be priced Rs 28,999. However, Xiaomi has now lowered the prices of both versions as part of a promotional offer. The base model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage can now be purchased for Rs 25,999, while the 8 GB variant is available for Rs 28,499. The tablet can be purchased from various platforms including Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi stores across India.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 meanwhile features some impressive specs. Those include a 10.95-inch WQHD+ LCD 10-bit TrueColor display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz, offering a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. With Dolby Vision support, the tablet delivers enhanced visual quality. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor and Adreno 640 GPU, the tablet ensures smooth performance and graphics capabilities. It comes in two configurations: 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.

The tablet is equipped with an 8,720mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. For photography, it has a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front facing camera for selfies and video calls. The Xiaomi Pad 5 runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 Pad skin, offering a user-friendly interface and a range of features. The tablet is available in the Cosmic Grey color option, and Xiaomi is providing an instant discount of Rs 2,000 on purchases made with an ICICI bank credit card.
