Xiaomi announced its comeback in the tablet space with the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 5. The Pad 5 comes with an 11-inch 2.5K LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

The Pad comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. It comes with MIUI 13 for Pad, a customized version of Xiaomi’s OS with dedicated tablet-based features. There are Harman/Kardon tuned quad speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and a large cooling chamber to keep the thermals in check. The tablet also supports Xiaomi Smart Pen comes with 4096 pressure points, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Smart Pen function keys to quickly jot down notes, take screenshots, or easily switch between pen and eraser.

The pen magnetically charges when you place it on the top of the tablet and promises 8 hours of battery backup. It also supports fast charging that will offer 20 minutes of usage with 1 minute of charge. The Pad 5 packs an 8,720mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging support that can charge up to 100% in 91 minutes.

Pricing and availability

The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes in a single Cosmic Gray color option and is priced at INR 26,999 for the 128GB storage model and the top-end 256GB storage model costs INR 28,999. It will be available from Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and offline partner stores starting May 3rd. The tablet will be available at an introductory price of INR 24,999 and INR 26,999, respectively till May 7th, with an additional INR 2,000 discount on HDFC Bank cards and EMI.
