Xiaomi introduced its Xiaomi 13 series smartphones globally at MWC last month, but the brand is not resting on its laurels. In fact, it is set to launch another device in the lineup. The upcoming smartphone is expected to be called the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, and it will serve as the successor to last year’s Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Unlike the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which was the last Ultra offering in the global markets in 2021, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is rumored to be available worldwide, according to reputable tipster Ice Universe. However, it is unclear whether the device will be released first in China and then in other markets.
According to another tipster, Snoppy Tech, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may be unveiled in May 2023. The device has already surfaced on the web in leaked images, which show slight design changes from its predecessor. The camera module on the back of the phone has a circular design, with four sensors, including a periscope lens, and Leica branding. The back panel of the phone is made of vegan leather, with a raised upper part, but the camera island does not protrude like on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Additionally, reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will come with USB 3.2 data transfer and USB PD charging standard protocol. With all these leaks and rumors, it remains to be seen how the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will perform once it hits the market, but Xiaomi fans can’t wait to see what the device has to offer. Stay tuned for more on this as it emerges.
