Xiaomi India made their foray into the laptop space last year with the Mi Horizon Edition laptops. Now it’s time for the Redmi brand to do the same. At the Redmi Note 10T 5G smartphone launch, the brand had teased the RedmiBook.
Today, Redmi via their social media channels, released the launch date for the RedmiBook. The teaser reads, “Are you ready to #SuperStart life with #RedmiBook?”, with the August 3rd launch date. The teaser also shows a mockup of a laptop with a webcam, and huge bezels around the display, a complete opposite look to the Mi Horizon Edition series.
According to the rumors, the company will launch the Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15.6 in India soon, but there are no details about the launch yet. And this launch teaser complicates the launch timelines as well. The new RedmiBook laptop will be sold on Flipkart, in addition to mi.com. The brand will be teasing more info about the RedmiBook in the coming days.
With Xiaomi going after the sort of a premium buyer, we expect Redmi to tackle the entry level laptop market with Intel i3 and i5 powered model. Realme is also slated to be planning something similar with their RealmeBook series.
