Redmi recently announced the upcoming launch of its new mid-range smartphone, the Note 12R Pro 5G, which will be added to the company’s popular Note series. The device is expected to be positioned between the Note 12 Pro 4G, the Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, and the standard Note 12 Pro 5G. As a mid-range offering, the Note 12R Pro 5G is expected to feature a range of impressive specifications and features, although specific details about the device have not yet been released by Redmi.

While the Chinese launch of the Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G is scheduled for April 29, details about its availability in other markets are currently unknown. However, we can get an idea of the device’s anticipated features, specifications, and other particulars.

The Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G’s official teaser reveals a flat frame design and a curved rear panel, housing a rectangular dual-camera module on the back. It is anticipated that the phone will also have an OLED display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and SGS low blue light certification, which is designed to provide superior eye protection. The phone features a 48MP main camera sensor and supports 5G networks.

Redmi has confirmed that the device will be offered in three color variants – Gold, Black, and White. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. It is expected to support up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G is expected to fit between the Note 12 Pro 4G and Note 12 Pro 5G in Xiaomi’s lineup. Although there are no other known specifics about the device, it is predicted that it will launch with Android 13 pre-installed and MIUI 14 on top.
