Redmi Note 12 Turbo spotted at Geekbench, will feature SD 7+ Gen 2 chipset and 12 GB RAM

The upcoming addition to the Note 12 series of Redmi smartphones is the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is set to be launched in China on March 28. This device is expected to come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. Recently, the phone was spotted on Geekbench with the aforementioned processor, which has piqued the interest of tech enthusiasts who are eagerly anticipating its release.

According to the benchmarking website Geekbench, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, with model number 23049RAD8C, has been tested and achieved a single-core score of 1213 and a multi-core score of 3972. These scores indicate that the smartphone’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor is capable of delivering exceptional performance for a mid-range system-on-chip.

Based on the Geekbench listing, it appears that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be paired with 12 GB of RAM, and there may be other RAM options available as well. The smartphone is also expected to come with the latest Android 13 operating system pre-installed, and it will likely feature Xiaomi’s MIUI 14 custom skin on top of the Android OS.

According to earlier reports, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is also rumored to come equipped with a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. Additionally, the device is expected to be powered by a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability.

Qualcomm meanwhile has stated that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor will bring significant improvements in both performance and power efficiency. The processor’s primary Kryo CPU core is clocked at 2.91GHz, and the CPU architecture, which includes one prime core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores, is expected to deliver a performance increase of over 50 percent compared to the previous Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
