At the Redmi Note 12 4G launch, the company also announced its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi 12C in the Indian market. Priced at under INR 10,000, the Redmi 12C comes packed with a large LCD panel, Helio G85 chipset, dual camera, and more.

The Redmi 12C packs a 6.71-inch LCD panel with a dewdrop notch, an HD+ resolution, and thicker bezels. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and comes paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.
As for the cameras, the Redmi 12C gets a dual camera setup on the back with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth camera. For selfies, there is a 5MP front-facing camera tucked inside the dew-drop notch. Other features on the Redmi 12C include dual 4G, LTE, dual-band WiFi, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP52 rating, Android 12 with MIUI 13 out of the box, and a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.

The Redmi 12C comes in Matte Black, Royal Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple color options. The phone is priced at INR 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model while the 6GB + 128GB model costs INR 10,999. The handset will be on sale starting April 6th at Amazon India, mi.com, Mi Studio, Mi Home, and authorized retail partners. As part of the launch offers, the company will be offering INR 500 off to ICICI Bank credit/debit card holders.
