What YourERD is

YourERD is a browser-based tool for drawing entity-relationship diagrams. When a relationship is created, it adds a foreign-key column based on the parent entity’s primary key. The editor supports Barker notation, including identifying, non-identifying, and optional relationships, with one-to-one and one-to-many cardinalities. Tables and columns can have physical and logical names, and logical names can appear as comments in generated DDL. Diagrams can be exported as MySQL 8 DDL, PNG, or JSON; MySQL 8 is the listed DDL target. Drawing and exporting do not require an account. Signing in enables cloud storage and share links, where visitors can see updates in real time but only the owner can edit. An MCP server connects to Claude Code to create diagrams from natural-language descriptions. The Free plan is free and displays ads on the site. The maker says the tool was designed in part for data-modelling practices that use Barker notation and pair technical names with human-readable ones. The privacy policy says diagrams are not sent to the server when used without signing in.
