PayDay
PayDay detects incoming pay and automatically splits it across connected accounts according to rules set by the user.
What PayDay is
PayDay detects incoming pay and automatically splits it across connected accounts according to rules set by the user. Percentage splits change with the amount received, while fixed splits keep the same amount. It checks linked accounts for deposits matching configured income sources, then runs the relevant rules. A dashboard combines balances across connected New Zealand accounts and supports transfers between them. The Insights tab uses transaction activity to estimate money remaining before the next pay and identify upcoming bills. Bank connections and transfers run through Akahu. PayDay lists ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank and Westpac as supported; TSB, Heartland, SBS, The Co-operative Bank, Rabobank and credit unions are not yet available. PayDay says it does not store bank passwords and encrypts data in transit and at rest. It can view transactions and make only transfers configured in split rules; users can pause splits or revoke access, as well as request data deletion or export. The service is in private testing and invites users through a waitlist. Its free plan includes automatic pay detection, split rules, transaction history, alerts and other account tools.
