What Kipu RCM is

Kipu RCM is revenue cycle management software for behavioral health and treatment organizations, supporting billing from pre-admission through post-discharge. It connects with Kipu EMR to move patient demographics and charges into billing software, and its Management Center handles real-time or scheduled eligibility checks and benefit exceptions. Utilization review tools include authorization alerts, plans, dashboard alerts, and task management. The Attendance Calendar can draw services from Kipu EMR or imported treatments to generate claims. Billing covers insurance claims, payer enrollments, automated ERA posting, patient billing, and self-pay workflows. Reporting dashboards combine insurance and self-pay data, with specialized reports, customizable templates, and Excel export. Kipu says it cleanly submits nearly 1.5 million claims annually and reports nearly one million daily messages between its systems and external systems. The platform is available on web and through an API; pricing is on request. Kipu advertises support every day, around the clock.
