JArchitect
JArchitect helps Java architects and developers examine code structure, define design rules, review code, and compare versions.
What JArchitect is
JArchitect helps Java architects and developers examine code structure, define design rules, review code, and compare versions. It supports Java and JVM languages that generate bytecode, with more than 120 default CQLinq checks for dependency, complexity, naming, and structure issues. Teams can modify those checks or create their own rules and queries. The tool provides code metrics, trend charts, technical debt estimates, and PASS/FAIL quality gates. It can analyze Eclipse, Maven, IntelliJ, and Android projects, as well as APK, JAR, EAR, and WAR files. Bytecode analysis does not require source code, though some metrics, such as Cyclomatic Complexity and lines of code, do. The DevOps edition integrates analysis into build processes and supports SonarQube, Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, and AppVeyor. Coverage imports from Cobertura and JaCoCo are listed. JArchitect runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and offers API and self-hosted options. Pricing is on request; a 14-day trial requires a valid email address to download.
