GifGen
GifGen turns an image and a written motion description into a looping animated GIF.
What GifGen is
GifGen turns an image and a written motion description into a looping animated GIF. You can reorder or hide frames, adjust the crop and playback speed, and choose a loop or boomerang. Motion options include rotate, bounce, pulse, sway, spin, float, wave, glow, zoom, and shake. Standard output uses 9 frames; Smoother uses 16 for more fluid movement. GifGen is available on the web and Android, and can import WhatsApp stickers directly. Exports are suited to WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Keynote, Google Slides, and Notion. It also publishes a GIF Generator GPT on ChatGPT, described as the same product and team as its web app. The service says prompts and reference images go to Google Gemini or, where enabled, OpenAI, and that it does not train its own models on user data. Plans include 1,000 credits per month for €9.99 per month; standard animations cost 10 credits and Pro animations cost 30, and monthly credits do not roll over.
