What Folio is
Folio is a web photography platform for storing and organizing photos in the cloud, publishing portfolios, sharing galleries, and delivering images to clients. Clients can view and download a gallery through a shared link without an account or app. Photographers can set passwords and expiry dates, manage individual-image and ZIP downloads, and choose whether to show EXIF data. For proofing, they can add text or image watermarks, then replace the proof images with final ones while retaining the gallery link. Selected galleries can be public while others remain private or unlisted in the same account. Lite and higher plans support custom domains for portfolio homepages and gallery links after DNS verification. The free plan includes 10 GB of storage, one portfolio, unlimited galleries, and one watermark preset. It is not intended for ongoing commercial client delivery. Folio says uploaded photos are encrypted before storage and remain the user's property.
