Fokasu
Fokasu is a desktop study planner that combines task scheduling, a focus timer, and blocking for selected websites and desktop applications.
What Fokasu is
Fokasu is a desktop study planner that combines task scheduling, a focus timer, and blocking for selected websites and desktop applications. Users can create or schedule Focus Blocks that keep chosen distractions blocked until a focus goal is met. For a todo with automatic breaks enabled, blocked sites and apps become available during breaks and are blocked again afterward. Recurring study tasks and routines support regular study plans, while weekly and monthly tracking shows focused time and completed tasks. Study clans add group chat, quests, rankings, and a shared leaderboard; a separate community lets users share progress and encouragement. Fokasu is free and labeled BETA. Current desktop downloads are for Windows and Fedora, with Ubuntu support marked as coming soon. Website blocking requires the desktop app and browser extension together. The extension checks tab URLs locally against configured block and exception patterns, and Fokasu says it does not send browsing history or page contents to its remote services. Supported browsers include Chrome, Brave, other Chromium browsers, and Firefox.
