We saw a Xiaomi foldable phone cross TENAA just last month which was followed by some leaked shots of it. Now we have more images of a Xiaomi Foldable prototype with Mi Mix branding.
This new prototype matches the early leaks that pointed out towards the possibilty of a Foldable Mi Mix phone. Just for refereence, we haven’t a Mi Mix series phone launch in over 2 years. The last Mix series phone was the Mi Mix 3. The leaked prototype is just a shell without the display and other hardware but we see some design elements.
For starters, the phone will have a triple camera setup on the back which will be arranged vertically. The phone will be an infolding mechanism just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2. There have been rumors that Samsung displays have been supplying foldable OLED panels to a bunch of smartphone makers including Xiaomi, Oppo, and Google.
A Xiaomi phone with model no M2011J18C has popped up on the Chinese certification website. Not a lot of info has been shared in the TENAA listing apart from the model number and the fact that this phone will be 5G compatible. Going by the rumors, this phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and will carry the same internals as that of the Mi 11.
The phone has been spotted in the wild a couple of times, hinting the fact that the launch is very near.
