Airtel also said its 5G service is based on the NSA structure, which means there is no need to insert a standalone 5G SIM into the phone to access 5G networks. Here is what you need to do to connect to Airtel 5G networks using a Xiaomi or Redmi phone.
- Go to Settings and tap on SIMs.
- Select 5G (recommended).
- From the list of preferred network types given, Select 5G or 5G/4G/3G from the list to connect to a 5G network.
If all of the above seems too tech-centric, here is a simpler way to connect to 5G networks.
