Xiaomi just announced two new budget smartphones in India under the Redmi 13C branding. While concluding the launch event, Xiaomi officials revealed that they shot the entire Redmi 13C launch event on the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro+ smartphone. They also revealed that the next iteration of the Redmi Note series will be launched in India in January 2024.

The Redmi Note 13 series smartphones were launched in China back in September and since then speculations have been high about a possible India launch happening by December. Xiaomi is expected to announce three smartphones in the Note 13 lineup, including the vanilla Redmi Note 13, Note 13 Pro, and Note 13 Pro+ model.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ come with a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. The display has a 1,800 nits peak brightness, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The Note 13 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, while the Note 13 Pro+ gets a Dimensity 7200-Ultra SoC.

On the optics front, both phones come with a triple camera setup on the rear with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The selfies on the phone are taken via a 16MP front-facing camera. The Note 13 Pro gets an IP54 rating, while the Pro+ model gets an IP68 rating. These phones run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box with a planned HyperOS update soon.

Other features on the Redmi Note 13 Pro lineup include a stereo speaker, in-display fingerprint sensors, an IR sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack Pro model, and a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging support on the Redmi Note 13 Pro and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging on the Pro+ model.
