Xiaomi India has announced a strategic collaboration with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to further its ‘Make in India’ initiative. This partnership marks a significant step in the AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) domain, starting with the localization of wireless audio products. As part of this collaboration, Xiaomi has commenced local production of its first audio product at OEL’s factory located in Noida.
By expanding its operations and forging manufacturing partnerships with domestic champions in the industry, Xiaomi is reinforcing its commitment to India. These efforts not only contribute to economic growth but also create employment opportunities. The company aims to achieve a 50% increase in domestic value addition for smartphones over the next two years.
This collaboration exemplifies Xiaomi’s dedication to manufacturing high-quality products, fostering the growth of domestic manufacturing in India, and advancing its mission of making technology accessible to the masses.
