Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant, is gearing up to launch its latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, globally and in China later this month. The phone is being touted as a game-changer in the world of smartphone cameras, as per the company’s claims. The device is set to build on the success of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which received rave reviews from critics and users alike. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will continue the Leica optics that made its predecessor stand out in the market.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been making headlines recently, as high-quality renders of the device have surfaced online. These renders give us a detailed look at the phone’s design, and they show the phone in all its glory ahead of the launch. The renders were shared by Smartprix through OnLeaks, a reliable source of smartphone leaks and rumors. The images reveal that the phone will have a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, with curved edges that give it a premium look and feel.
The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge, and the bottom edge has a USB Type-C port, primary microphone, SIM tray section, and speaker grills. The top of the phone has another speaker grille and a secondary microphone for noise cancellation during video recording. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will come in White Ceramic and Black leather finish.
The most notable feature of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is its camera module on the back. The phone has a large circular module that houses quad-camera sensors, including one that looks like a telephoto sensor, and an LED flash. The Xiaomi logo is also visible on the back of the phone, and it appears to have a metal side frame.
In addition to the renders, an alleged live image of the phone has also surfaced online, offering a glimpse of the camera module on the back. Although the image is blurry, it confirms that the phone will indeed have a circular camera module on the back.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to pack a 6.7-inch curved OLED panel with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset will be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen SoC have a maximum of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone is expected to run on the Android 13 operating system, which will come with the MIUI 14 custom skin pre-installed.
The phone is rumored to have a quad-camera setup on the back, which includes a 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 50MP telephoto sensor, and a 50MP periscope zoom. For selfies, the phone is expected to have a 32MP front-facing camera. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is said to be juiced by a 4,900mAh battery that supports 90W fast wired charging, while wireless charging can go up to 50W.
