Redmi is all set to expand its lineup of televisions powered by the Fire TV OS in India. Earlier this year, the Xiaomi sub-brand introduced its first smart TV with FireOS in the country. Now, Redmi has officially revealed that it will unveil a brand-new offering, the Redmi Smart Fire TV, on September 15. Xiaomi has dedicated a microsite to this upcoming release on its official website. In addition to its existing offerings of Google TV and Android TVs in India, Xiaomi aims to diversify its product range by introducing FireOS-powered televisions, providing more choices for consumers.
As the name suggests, the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K will sport a 43-inch screen with a 4K display resolution. The microsite teases an exceptional viewing experience and captivating entertainment. It boasts an elegant design featuring three-sided narrow bezels, with a slightly thicker bezel at the bottom and an LED light in the center. The Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K is expected to offer seamless connectivity and additional features, running on FireOS, likely complemented by an Alexa voice-enabled remote control.
Xiaomi has already introduced the F2 TV series with FireOS in global markets since the previous year. If the upcoming Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K mirrors its global counterpart, it is likely to feature UHD resolution with support for HDR10 and HLG. On the audio front, users can expect two 12W speakers with Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, and DTS Virtual:X support. The global variant is powered by a MediaTek MT9020 processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage.
Meanwhile, Amazon has also set up a microsite for the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K, confirming its availability on the e-commerce platform. Furthermore, it is anticipated to be offered on Mi.com as well.
