Redmi Note 12R Pro has been launched in China as the latest addition to the Redmi Note 12 series. The series already includes various smartphones like Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, and Redmi Note 12 Turbo. The Redmi Note 12R Pro is very much similar to the Redmi Note 12 5G in terms of specifications and design, but it offers more memory and color options.
The phone features a 6.67-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on MIUI 14-based Android 13 and is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. The device has 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
The Redmi Note 12R Pro sports a 16 MP front facing camera while on the rear lies a 48 MP primary camera and a 2 MP macro camera, complete with an LED flash. The device also features a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.
Other features of the phone include dual SIM, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, an IR blaster, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB-C port. The Note 12R Pro is IP53-rated and measures 165.88 x 76.21 x 7.8mm while weighing 188 grams.
The phone is available in a single configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, and it is priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$289). It comes in black, white, and gold color options.
