At the Redmi Note 10 series launch, while Indian market got three smartphones, the Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. European markets got four phones, Redmi Note 10, Note 10S, Note 10 5G, and the Note 10 Pro.

Now two of these global models, the Redmi Note 10 5G and Note 10S have passed the BIS recently. While a product showing up on BIS doesn’t guarantee its eventual launch, we cannot set aside the intense competition in the smartphone industry right now. The Redmi Note 10 5G interestingly has been passed under the POCO branding.

This could have been done to go head-on with the likes of the Realme Narzo 30 series. Just for reference, the Redmi Note 10 5G has a 6.5-inch 90Hz FHD+ AdaptiveSync LCD display with a centered punch hole. It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. There is a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone also gets an 8MP selfie camera.

The phone overseas comes at a $199 starting price which could even be lower for us here. As for the Note 10S, that phone has passed the BIS with a Mi branding. We are not quite sure where this phone will fit in the existing Mi lineup. Given the current scenario in the Indian smartphone space, expect both of these phones to be announced in the country in the coming few weeks.
