The Redmi K50 series is still fresh in the market and the company is also believed to have plans to launch two new K50 variants but rumors about its successor have already surfaced online. A noted tipster claims to have some information about what the k60 is going to be like. According to the tipster, Redmi will opt for launching the K60 powered by two chipsets. If that is true, then it is going to be a similar strategy that Xiaomi adopted for its 12S Pro smartphone.

So, it is going to be two different versions of the K60 that would be made available powered by the flagship Dimensity and Snapdragon chipsets. The tipster also stated it is going to be the chips based on the TSMC 4nm process that would make up the core of the K60. That is a clear indication of it being the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Soc and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ Soc that would be powering the two flagship smartphone models.

Other details that the tipster has to reveal about the K60 series include a 2K screen that might include an under-display fingerprint sensor as well. The display will also have a punch hole at the center which would be accommodating the front shooter. The rear will feature a 50 MP primary sensor that could be derived from the Sony IMX766 sensor. It is not known how large the battery is going to be but the tipster claims it is going to be supported by an advanced fast charging tech.

Unfortunately, that is pretty much all that we know about the K60 as of now. In fact, there is no surety either of the K60 getting launched anytime soon, or even this year itself. The best chance it has for a launch is around next year though it s not known when is that going to happen.

Meanwhile, the company is believed to be engaged with launching the Redmi K50S and Redmi K50S Pro smartphones sometime next month. Again, there is no concrete evidence of the likely specs of both though it is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Soc that is expected to be powering the two smartphone versions. Of the two, K50S Pro is speculated to feature a 200 MP sensor, which together with the flagship Qualcomm processor will make for a major USP of the phone.
