Redmi is all set to announce the successor of the already popular Redmi K40, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition with Snapdragon chip. The phone will be launched in the Chinese market first on February 16th.
The brand has been posting teasers for the smartphone and from them, we can make out that the K50 Gaming Edition will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G SoC. As for the display, we expect a 6.67-inch Full HD+ flat AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also get a dual VC cooling system, CyberEngine ultra-wideband motor and pack a 4700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
Apart from this, the phone gets LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.1 storage. It will be offered in 3 colours and there will also be a special Mercedes-AMG Petronas edition a first from the brand. The company is also rumoured to announce the Redmi K50, K50 Pro and K50 Pro+ smartphones powered by Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 9000 SoCs, respectively. But there is no clarity if all these models will be announced at the same launch event or not.
