Redmi branding TVs to launch in India by the next quarter

Redmi TV India launch

Redmi at their Note 10 series launch, also teased the arrival of the Redmi branded Smart TVs in the country. Xiaomi up till now has been selling Smart TVs in the country under the ‘Mi TV’ branding.

This could be the brand’s effort to diversify the Redmi brand portfolio which is going head-on with the likes of Realme while Mi TVs will be pitting against VU, Samsung, LG, and OnePlus. Redmi has launched a range of smart TVs in the China market which come at a slightly affordable price tag compared to the Mi TVs.

The Redmi TVs will join the Redmi portfolio which by now has smartphones, earphones, and power banks. The teaser video the brand put out suggests that the upcoming Redmi smart TV for India will be a large-sized television. The brand uses the term ‘XL’ and even gives us a glimpse of the TV’s design. As of now, Redmi sells two large-sized TVs in China, the Redmi Smart TV Max 98″ and Smart TV Max 86″‘.

Given that both products are niche even in the China market and the brand has already been facing logistics issues with the said models, we don’t think Redmi will be bringing these two models here. Instead, given the needs of an average Indian household, we can expect them to bring either a 55″ or 65″ model. These sizes are quite popular in India and Xiaomi has already been selling these two sizes in the country.
