After making its debut in the Global markets alongside the X5 Pro, the POCO X5 will be making its India debut on March 14th. The smartphone was initially not pegged to be launched in India due to its specsheet being too similar to the Redmi Note 12 and the POCO X4 Pro. But POCO is now bringing this device to the country after popular demand from the customers.
The company has not really started to tease the India launch as of now, and we will likely hear about it this week. But POCO India head, Himanshu Tandon, recently tweeted that the device will be launching in India soon.
POCO X5 specifications
The POCO X5 comes with a similar specsheet as the Redmi Note 12, but with a processor change. As for the cameras, the X5 packs a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48MP primary camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there is a 13MP camera on the front. The phone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, and packs feature like dual-band Wi-Fi, dual 5G support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster.
