POCO Global is all set to announce the new POCO M3 Pro 5G in the global markets starting with Europe next week. The brand has already sent out invites for the online launch that is scheduled for May 19.

POCO Global’s team recently gave an interview in which they talked about the plans to discontinue the regular POCO M3 and replace it with this Pro model. We also saw the renders of the M3 Pro 5G leak today, which gives us an idea of the direction the brand is taking. As per the renders, we can make out the details in the phone and the changes that the brand has made.

Under the hoods, the M3 Pro 5G is basically the same phone like Redmi Note 10 5G that is already being sold in the European markets. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor and will sport 6GB RAM as standard compared to the 4GB RAM that POCO M3 had. The storage will be bumped this time and we will see the brand use UFS2.2 here.

Other notable features include a triple camera setup on the rear with a main 48-megapixel sensor and a massive 5,000mAh battery. POCO is also working on their own take on Android, called the POCO UI, and with some POCO only features. We could see this UI in action on the upcoming M3 Pro 5G. Also worth noting is the fact that POCO bosses have simply downplayed the rumors surrounding the launch of a budget flagship product and at the same time have clarified the fact that the brand is not currently in a mood to launch wearables and audio products.

Given the similar specs as the Redmi Note 10 5G, the pricing could be similar as well, and expect the rollout of this model starting with European markets sometime at the end of this month.
