The POCO F5 5G is scheduled to debut in India on May 9th, succeeding last year’s POCO F4 model. There are rumors that the phone is simply a renamed version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. The company has been hinting at new features of the device, and it has been verified that the phone will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC. It has been established that the POCO F5 will be announced in two variants with the storage being set to 256GB by default, while there will be a choice between 8GB or 12GB RAM. On top of this, Globally, the POCO F5 will be announced in three colors, Carbon Black, Snow White, and Electric Blue. Given that the POCO F5 is a rebrand of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo that was announced sometime back in China, we can expect the handset to cost between INR 30,000 to INR 35,000.

The POCO F5 comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM, 1000nits brightness, adaptive HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision support, and more. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC, which is paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Coming to the optics, the POCO F5 comes with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone relies on a front-facing 16MP camera. Other features on the phone include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an x-axis motor, IR Blaster, WiFi 6/6E, NFC, Android 13 with MIUI 14 out of the box with the promise of two future Android version updates, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
