MIUI 12.5 Global update beta program launched for a bunch of devices

We saw Xiaomi announce the Global version of  MIUI 12.5 last month along with the Mi 11. Now the brand has opened up the Global Stable update beta program for a bunch of Xioami, Redmi, and POCO devices.

Looking at the schedule, the eligible devices will start receiving the MIUI 12.5 update starting Q2 2021. The list includes both new and old devices for the above-mentioned brands. This program was initially announced by Xiaomi for their devices but was quickly expanded to POCO devices.

There is no mention of the Android version on which these beta builds will be released for the respective devices but from past experience, it is safe to say that majority of these phones will be testing this new build on Android 11. Xiaomi has been doing this kind of beta program for a while now and gives equal opportunity to MIUI users to sign-up and try out new features in advance.

As per the recruitment thread posted on Mi Community and POCO Community, the MIUI team is looking for MIUI 12 Global Stable ROM testers for the various devices. Indian users with any of the following devices can apply for the program,

• Mi 10
• Redmi K20 Pro
• Redmi Note 10 Pro Max
• Redmi Note 10 Pro
• Redmi 9 Power
• Redmi Note 9 Pro
• Redmi Note 8 Pro
• POCO X2
• POCO M3

Users from other regions can also apply for MIUI Stable testing program. Following is the list of devices, and region

• POCO M3 (Global)
• Mi 11 (Global)
• Mi 10 Pro (Global)
• Mi 10 (Global)
• Mi 10 Lite (Global)

There are still some devices missing from this list like the Redmi Note 7 series which has already gotten the beta update in the China region. There is no word on when more devices will be added to this list. As for the current devices, the recruitment is open to all users with limited slots. You can head over to this link and fill up the necessary details for getting into the program. The application deadline for the MIUI Global Tester program is 31st March.
