Here is what the upcoming Poco X5 Pro will cost in India

The Poco X5 has been making headlines for some time now thanks to the frequent leaks and speculations that have been coming our way of late. No wonder the same has picked up pace as we approach its rumored launch date, which likely is going to be towards the end of this month only. Now, we have another leak that provides us with an idea of what the Poco X5 will cost in India.

As per what tipster Debayan Roy has stated, the Poco X5 will cost around Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 23,000 in India when launched. However, these being introductory prices, it will remain in effect for an initial unspecified period only. The prices are almost sure to go up beyond that period. Still, at the above mentioned price range, the Poco X5 is going to be the cheapest smartphone ever to be launched in India featuring the Snapdragon 778G chipset.

We have also had leaked promo materials before that provided us with a glimpse of what the device is going to be in reality. Rumor already has it that the Poco X5 is going to be the rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition but with enough tweaks to give it the unique Poco identity. That includes an exclusive paint job that should let the Poco X5 to stand apart from the crowd.

Coming to specs, the Poco X5 is expected to come with a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED display having FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is also known to have a 240 Hz touch sampling rate as well as up to 1920 Hz PWM dimming. Also, as already stated, a Snapdragon 778G processor would be making up the core of the smartphone and will be coupled to up to 8 gigs of memory and 256 GB of storage on the top model. Powering the phone is going to be a 5000 mAh battery backed by 67 W fast charging tech.

Another highlight of the phone is going to be its triple lens camera system comprising of a 108 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2 MP macro shooter. The phone will be running MIUI 14 which is based on Android 13.

Meanwhile, in a related development, the Chinese company has announced the appointment of popular cricket heart-throb Hardik Pandya as the brand ambassador of the Poco brand. Pandya was also recently spotted with the Poco X5 Pro even though the phone is yet to be officially launched in the country.
