StatusOwl
StatusOwl hosts service status pages and monitors services, opening an incident after an attached monitor records three consecutive failed checks.
What StatusOwl is
StatusOwl hosts service status pages and monitors services, opening an incident after an attached monitor records three consecutive failed checks. The first successful check posts a recovery update and resolves the incident. Monitors can check HTTP/HTTPS, ping, TCP ports, SSL certificate expiry, domain expiry, and server metrics. Status pages can show uptime history, timestamped incident timelines, scheduled maintenance, branding, and custom domains. Unlisted private pages return a 404 to people without the link, but do not require a password. StatusOwl offers email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, ntfy, and signed webhooks as notification channels. A key limitation is that uptime checks do not currently trigger notifications; channels are triggered by Watch Owl server-metric alert rules. Pages also have no subscriber form or list, so publishing an incident does not send subscriber updates. The free plan is free and includes one status page, 25 monitors checked every three minutes, two team members, and 30 days of history. It is available on web and via API.
