Rons Data Edit is a Windows desktop editor for CSV and other tabular text files, intended for viewing, cleaning, and reorganizing data. It handles separated formats such as CSV and TSV and can import and export JSON, XML, HTML, Markdown, and tokenized data. Editing tools include inline cell changes, search and replace, undo and redo, plus operations to split or merge rows and columns and remove duplicates or blank entries. Users can sort and filter data, save custom views, review summary metrics, and create line, bar, and pie charts. Data can come from files or the clipboard; users can append rows or join records by key columns, then export to files, the clipboard, or Excel. Custom Cleaners combine Toolbox commands into macros that can be shared with Rons Data Stream. The maker says data remains stored locally and the app can work offline. The free Lite edition includes advertising banners and limits saved output to 2500 rows. Pro costs $40, paid once, with no row save limit and a lifetime license including updates for one user on up to five computers.
