Olivasal
Olivasal is a self-hosted video meeting platform with recording, AI recaps, encryption, and white-labeling.
What Olivasal is
Olivasal is a self-hosted video meeting platform with recording, AI recaps, encryption, and white-labeling. Meetings support lobby admission, host transfer, co-host roles, end-for-all controls, screen sharing, chat, live captions, and a collaborative whiteboard. AI recaps can include speaker-attributed transcripts, visual flowchart summaries, action items, and a searchable recap library.
Cloud and local recording can run in parallel, creating video, audio-only, and chat-transcript files. Self-hosted deployments run on Linux servers and keep recordings and transcripts on customer hardware. Per-meeting end-to-end encryption makes the server a blind relay, but cloud recording and AI recaps are disabled while it is enabled; local recording remains available. Integrations include Google and Microsoft sign-in, two-way Google Calendar sync, several send-as email services, and GitLab issue creation from recap action items. A free plan supports up to three members, meetings of up to 25 people, and three cloud-recorded meetings and AI summaries monthly.

Watch out
- Encryption disables cloud recording and AI recaps

Who it suits
Olivasal may suit organizations seeking self-hosted meetings and local control of recordings and transcripts, including healthcare, finance, and public-sector organizations. Its plans also serve teams that need AI recaps, integrations, or larger meeting capacity.
Verdict
Olivasal offers meeting controls, recording, AI recaps, and a self-hosted option, with a free plan for small teams. Consider the tradeoff that enabling end-to-end encryption disables cloud recording and AI recaps.
