What Download Navi is
Download Navi is a free, open-source download manager for Android 4.4 and later. It can pause and resume downloads, run them in the background, and handle simultaneous downloads, with three as the default. Multipart downloads can use up to 16 parts. The app works with browsers and includes its own built-in browser. Connection settings include restricting downloads to unmetered connections, along with roaming and user-agent controls. Other tools include speed limits, MD5 and SHA-256 hash calculations, and actions that run after downloads finish. On Android 8.0 and later, it can automatically unpack ZIP, TAR, and 7z archives. The project README also lists Android TV and Chrome OS support. Its privacy policy says usage and personally identifiable data are not collected except when users send crash logs. Information accessed through app permissions stays on the device, according to the policy. The project welcomes error reports through GitHub issues as well as contributions, suggestions, and bug fixes. It is licensed under GNU GPL version 3 or, at the user's option, a later version.
