What ConferenceCall.ca is
ConferenceCall.ca provides telephone conference calls that participants join with a shared PIN and dial-in number. Organizers choose a date and time, then start a call without making a reservation or notifying the service. The PIN arrives by email, does not expire, and can be reused. The free conference calling plan costs nothing, with no setup or monthly fees, and supports up to 100 participants; an event-call service is available for larger groups. The service lists local dial-in numbers in 25 countries and a worldwide number for other locations. Participants can join by landline or mobile phone, or through Skype and similar VoIP services, which may affect audio quality. During calls, #1 privately checks the participant count and #6 mutes or unmutes a caller's own line. Organizers can copy an email invitation template with fields for call details, the PIN, and dial-in instructions. Callers may face charges from their phone provider, including possible long-distance charges for the Canadian dial-in number and per-minute rates for international numbers.
