Xiaomi is gearing up to make a big splash in the smartphone market with its upcoming flagship series, the Xiaomi 14. Following the successful launch of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro in December 2022, the Chinese tech giant is now set to release its highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 series by the end of this year.
A recent report by GSMChina has provided some interesting details about the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, including their model numbers and possible launch timeframes. The model codes 23127PN0CC / 23127PN0CG and 23116PN5BC / 23116PN5BG have been spotted in the IMEI database, corresponding to the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, respectively. The “C” at the end indicates the Chinese variants, while the “G” represents the global versions.
The model numbers, featuring “2312” and “2311,” suggest that the Xiaomi 14 series may see an official unveiling in China in November or December. It is expected that the global market will receive the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro a few months later, extending the reach of these highly anticipated devices.
In addition to the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, reports have also hinted at the existence of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Although details about this device remain scarce, it is speculated that it may make its debut in China in the second quarter of 2024. All three devices in the Xiaomi 14 series are anticipated to come equipped with the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is expected to be launched in November this year.
According to recent rumors, the Xiaomi 14 Pro may offer both flat and curved-edge screen variants to cater to different user preferences. Its rear camera setup is speculated to feature three 50 MP cameras, with the primary lens possibly being the impressive 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. The setup is also expected to include a periscope zoom camera, adding versatility to the device’s photography capabilities. The front camera of the 14 Pro is rumored to support 4K video recording. Additionally, the two variants of the 14 Pro may boast 5,000mAh batteries and support fast charging at 90W and 120W, respectively.
